What was the last strange coincidence you experienced?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for August 30, 2008:
Well Siona, there is indeed a difference between synchronicity and serendipity. My fabulous instructor at the Univiersity of Denver, Maureen Entrup teaches a weekend course for the graudate program I was in titled, "High Performance Living," and she asked the class...what we thought the difference was.
This is what we ended up with:
Serendipity is a chance or unexpected encounter and that moment when your soul and energy cross paths with a defining moment in time, which has meaning to you but you can't define what sort of meaning, you can only define the moment. Meaning comes later in hindsight.
Synchronicity is the almost daily expectation of when your particular energy and timing align or balance, which is often marked more with "signs" you are "looking for" and when you see them you acknowledge it.
And in response to the "coincidence" part of your question, well...Deepak Chopra says there are no coincidences, but refers to the word quite often in many of his writings. I'd have to agree with him. Nothing is by chance and it's all there to serve a specific purpose.
This said...Everyday, I have moments during which things seem to synchronize with my current energy and timing. (also when they don't ;)
I specifically look to and "call up" these moments because I expect them to happen. For example, I get a craving for sushi and a friend calls out of the blue and says "wanna go grab some sushi?"
The serendipitous one is less occuring and therefore more special and rare, like a once a year or maybe even once in a lifetime happening. My most recent experience was last December and has ended up being a turning point for me, which Deepak Chopra, in 'Peace is the Way,' says is an actual alteration of the shape of time.
It's too personal to post here, but it truly has changed my life.
Can you tell I'm a Chopra fan!!! Matter of fact here is a link to a great article he wrote particularly about this subject matter. Enjoy!
